Beware of Fraudsters, Mumbai woman duped off Rs. 50,000 on pretext of GST

"Notwithstanding a few updates from the police and the media, individuals keep on falling prey to such tricks. Individuals ought to never share subtle elements of their charge or Mastercard with anybody. A veritable bank authority will never call you and request your subtle elements," said a digital master. 

A cybercriminal acted like a bank official and tricked a 32-year-old lady from Versova of Rs 49,999, said police.

The man called the 35-year-old lady at 11.15 am on Sunday, saying the bank expected to refresh its information following the presentation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

"The fraudster approached the lady for her charge card subtle elements, saying the information refresh would profit the bank's clients.
