Job Description
Prepare annual, semiannual, and quarterly financial reports for the Columbia Mutual Funds, Life and Annuity Products and Collective Funds, including financial statements, notes to the financial statements, financial highlights and portfolio of investments. Preparation of various internal reports and reports that are filed with regulatory agencies including the SEC, such as Forms N-Q, N-SAR, N-MFP, CPO-PQR, N-CSR and N-MFP.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial reports including financial statements, notes to the financial statements, financial highlights and portfolio of investments. Validate financial information for accuracy and analysis of various financial relationships. Completion of various control roll forwards, reconciliations and other supporting documentation.
- Prepare reports that are filed with regulatory agencies including SEC, such as Forms N-Q, N-SAR, N-MFP, CPO-PQR, N-CSR and N-MFP.
- Responsible for various centralized activities such as internal reports and information summaries to facilitate shareholder reporting.
- Identify business requirements for potential system enhancements and/or development of procedural changes to accommodate any financial reporting impacts brought on by regulatory or business initiatives.
- Coordinate and maintain strong relationship with business partners during the preparation of financial reports and regulatory filings (legal, tax, internal audit, managed assets). This includes managing production deadlines and resolution of any reporting issues or inconsistencies that arise during the report production and regulatory filing process.
Required Qualifications
- MBA with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Invest One accounting system and Arc Reporting/ FundSuite / Financial Reporting software a plus.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Well versed in MS-Office.
- Excellent Communication (written and oral) and interpersonal Skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong work ethic with high standards for accuracy and attention to detail.
