Main Job Purpose: The Innovation PMO Manager will manage the offshore network management function for innovation networks. Ensuring networks are of high quality, upskilling the core team and providing reporting as per agreed timescales.

Job Summary

• Oversee performance of the offshore network management team in Bangalore and ensure alignment to defined quality standards


• Interface between project teams and Network Managers when there is an issue/risk/failure


• Identify specific operational improvement actions


• Proactively aligning capacity to the innovation funnel requirements


• Communicate the upcoming project funnel to 3 rd Party Team Leader PMO operation


• Resource planning


• Prioritisation


• Manage onboarding of new resources - setup IT etc.


• Provision of regular and timely Business Reporting


• Operational PI / SLA monitoring


• E.g. reports sent OTIF


• Phoenix Licence Management


• Driving Phoenix system improvements based on issues being observed


• Cascade and implementation of any new ways of working


• Training setup and deployment for Network Managers team


• Align on improvement areas


• Ensure improvement outcomes are measurable


• Deploy training and upskilling


• Embedded & Monitor Progress


• Regular review of overall service to the Category


• Demonstrates that PMO adds value to UL Business – adhoc presentation showing results such as GCLT, SCLT, etc


• Contract Management & PO Management with 3 rd Party


• Close engagement with Innovation PMO Director for issue resolution and oversight

Key Requirements

• Strong Category and IPM process knowledge - Must understand the category to create aligned and scalable processes


• Experience working with 3rd Party providers


• Project Management professional qualification


• Expert on MS Project and other PM software


• Proven experience in managing Innovation and development projects


• Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment


• Effective communicator at all levels


• Experience in coaching/mentoring teams and individuals


• Professional and positive approach – a can do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile when required


• Ability to lead a new team and find sustainable solutions in a newly created organisation.


• Dynamic, self-motivated and self sufficient


• Ability to cope with pressure, assertive and adaptable
