Job Description: Grade – 18
Job Description:
• To provide strong financial control over the general ledger areas assigned, supporting the account preparation process and perform special projects as required.
• To complete key monthly and quarterly tasks to facilitate accurate GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Prepare accounts, (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow) and reporting giving insight to the key performance indicators under GAAP.
• Complete all general ledger reconciliation and journals in line with SOX requirements and on a timely basis.
• Ensure activities posted to GL accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.
• Assigns General ledger codes, prepares them for review by controller and ensures journals are uploaded into appropriate financial systems.
• Assist in the preparation of Year-End packs, submissions for consolidated accounts.
• Build and maintain reporting formats and hierarchies.
• Prepare variance analysis and supporting schedules on Balance sheet accounts.
• Support the compilation, calculation and submission of Regulatory information during the year including all necessary liaisons (authorities, Compliance, management).
• Assist auditors with their requirements on a timely basis.
• Handling vendor payments, tax payments and other bank related work.

Skills Required:
• Requires a demonstrated understanding of accounting under U.S. GAAP & I GAAP.
• Strong control environment background and expertise with focus on right first time, on time
• Significant and complex financial analysis of activities, projects and plans
• Good time management skills – ability to handle multiple priorities, organize work and meet deadlines
• Graduate in accounting with minimum of 3 years relevant experience. MBA in finance preferred.
• Knowledge about TM1, black line and SAP is an added advantage.
• In depth understanding of the accounting, financial and compliance environment
• Ability to work in dynamic environment driving for improvements and change
