Location: Bengaluru

Required Qualification: CA with 2-4 experience

What the role entails:

1. Own the entire financial statements E2E on EBITDA, Working Capital and Cash Flow, and drive to better the targets planned


2. Monthly reporting of accruals, budget discussions with marketing, category teams, maintaining budget vs. actual spends tracker


3. Work with various internal teams and strive to drive down costs sustainably and consistently


4. Deep-dive and understand specific details of the manufacturing costs for the various products/ SKUs in each of the categories, and use that info to help drive costs down for Flipkart


5. Publish the right financial picture at regular intervals under Project ICE to both the biz team and management, and adequately call-out all risks and suggest suitable measures to address those risks


6. Perform Business Case Analysis for new capex and initiatives and benchmark it with industry best practices


7. Use understanding of taxation and accounting principles to business team better negotiate with the suppliers on costing

 

Role requirement

 

Planning/ forecasting, reporting and analysis

1. Acts as a running source of truth for numbers – Key financial metrics and performance drivers


2. Owns the financial guardrails for the categories on both EBITDA and Working Capital


3. Develop financial and demand plans along with the category, operations and marketing teams, with great rigor on bottoms-up approach. Focus on making an accurate and low risk plans with consistent and adequately detailed howlists.

1. Build strong processes to drive right and accurate inventory purchases and de-risking of sales plans


2. Is able to present clear reconciliation of P&L line items (plan vs actual) and ensures clear call outs are shown for effective understanding


3. Tracking of sales performance against set targets and provide periodical updates to business


4. Provide daily/ weekly updates/ flash to the biz teams and management on the progress. Prepare financial information & analysis for business reviews / presentations with key highlights


5. Actively engage and participate to work closely with the Controller Org. Able to bring closure with accurate reconciliation between Management MIS and Org P&L. Publish the monthly P&L to both the biz team and the management


6. Review the in depth analysis of deviation matrix and communicating the same proactively creating right visibility and enabling planning of actionable

 

Cost reduction, product and other initiatives

1. Engage consistently with various internal and external teams/ partners to drive lower costs


2. Develop deep understanding of the numerous variables driving business and leverage those to create multiple views for creating actionable plans for the biz teams


3. Handle complex and adhoc requests with a short turnaround time, and supplement such requests with appropriate analysis and comments to support quick decision making


4. Lead/ participate and actively drive standardization & automation projects with the relevant Product/ Tech teams for process and execution efficiency


5. Work with the manufacturers to drive a sustainable negative WC cycle for Project ICE
